Adapted from recipe at B. on a whim http://bonawhim.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-do-you-feel-about-smores-grahams.html
If you like smores…look no further. This recipe needs no words!
1 cup crushed graham crackers
1 stick (8 tbsp) butter
8 oz milk chocolate chips
1 cup half and half
1 egg or 1/4 cup egg beaters
1/2 bag of marshmallows or mini marshmallows
Crush graham crackers and combine with melted butter. Spread in 9 inch pie pan to create crust. Allow to chill for 30 minutes. I also crushed up an additional 1/4 cup graham crackers and pressed into the bottom of the pan to ensure it was thick enough.
While crust is chilling. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small saucepan (small but wide works best) bring half and half to a weak boil and immediately remove from heat. Microwave milk chocolate for 30 seconds, and then add to half and half. Whisk until mixture becomes smooth, yet thick, such as pudding. whisk in the egg and a 1/4 tsp salt.
Once crust is cool, pour chocolate mixture into pie crust and bake for 25 minutes or until filling is set.
After filling is set, remove from oven and top with marshmallows. I used regular marshmallows, but tore them in half (shown below). Turn oven to broil and broil until marshmallows are golden brown (about 2 min, but depends on your oven). Make sure to watch this closely to ensure your mallows don’t catch on fire!
Let cool for a minute before serving. Refrigerate after serving. This pie is delcious served hot or cold! Serves 8.
