Hello hello! It’s been a while since we’ve seen a review here on More Than Just Dessert, but that is all about to change! A few weeks ago, I was contacted by KISS ME ORGANICS to see if i wanted to try out and review their Organic Matcha Powder.
It took be about 2 seconds to say, YES! I drink green tea a few times a week, as it has some great health benefits….
A Couple Health Benefits of Green Tea That I Believe In
- High in antioxidants! Remember those? Antioxidants are the good guys that go around scavenging bad free radicals and oxygenated molecules in our body that are up to no good. Foods high in antioxidants are awesome.
- Provides another nutrients that boost your immune system– think vitamins, potassium, and iron.
- Increased Energy — I drink green tea often because it has a good level of caffiene–not too much, but enough I feel the kick. Matcha is more concentrated, therefore beneficial to energy levels!
How do I feel about KISSME Organics Matcha?
I like it! You only need a small amount of the powder to get great flavor. Matcha is so easy to use in cooking that I know I will put it to good use!
Also, I was shocked by how many things you can make with matcha powder—seriously, look it up on pinterest! Cheesecake, muffins, smoothies…you name it! However, I didn’t need to search to figure out what I was going to make with it.
So what did I make with my matcha so far?
You see, every once and while I get a hankering for Starbucks frappuccino and I like to hit up their green tea flavor because they have less calories and don’t make me feel overloaded like the mocha ones do. The cost though—yikes. So my first creation with matcha powder was a copycat frappucino!
I made this frappuccino, which tastes exactly like the Starbucks kind, for under $1.50 and in under 5 minutes. That is less than HALF the cost of a trip to the ‘bucks AND it really isn’t time consuming.
Green Tea Frappuccino Ingredients:
8-10 Ice Cubes
1 1/4 Cups Milk
1 tsp. KISSME Organic Green Tea Matcha Powder
1 tbsp. honey
Add all ingredients into blender (I used my Ninja!) and blend for 20-30 seconds. Pour and enjoy!
Where can I find KISSME Organic Matcha?
Here on Amazon, of course! It even qualifies for Amazon prime free shipping. 🙂 While it is a little pricy, remember that a little bit goes a long way so a 4 oz bag will last you a long time!
Thanks again to KISS ME Organics for letting me try it out! I am definitely looking forward to making more recipes with matcha!
Disclaimer: I was given a free 4 oz. package of KISS ME Organics Green Tea Matcha in exchange for a blog review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
